"Best of the best black tea and very rare. Highest grades are more than 1500 euro per kilo, therefore we selected a grade from lower on the mountain (around 300 meter above sea level) from the Tongmu protected area."
Name: Jin Jun Mei, Golden Eyebrow
Category: Soft and malty with a very long aftertaste
Impression: Small, compact leaves - a mixture of gold, yellow and black
Taste: Very sweet, soft and fruity in flavor, along with a very long aftertaste. The color of the infusion is of a bright gold
Origin and year of harvest: Tongmu, Wuyishan, Fujian, 2014
Brewing instruction: Use 2 - 3 gram for a glass and about 5 grams for a teapot. Steep at 90°C, for a short moment up to a minute. However, it is very important not to let the tea steep too long, otherwise the taste gets bitter. When a kung fu tea set is used, use about 3 grams Golden Eyebrow, and these are about 10 seconds per infusion drag. This tea has not previously be washed - but if you are used to this, it does not harm the taste. We recommend to use for the preparation of this variety a tea set made of porcelain.
