Beautiful, high quality and authentic Maofeng green tea with a very fine sweet, slightly smoky flavor and a fresh aroma. Tea from an organic tea plantation, high in the mountains of Huangshan.
Maofeng is the number three of China's tea top 10. For many tea enthusiasts the best green tea of them all.
The Maofeng of Huangshan is one of the most difficult green teas to find. The main reason is that the Huangshan area is so huge. Therefore, all green tea in this area is (incorrectly) called Huangshan Maofeng.
Of course, we still decided to go searching for the best Maofeng tea. To us that means tea produced in the area of the Huangshan, the real Yellow Mountain. ('Huang' meaning yellow, 'Shan' means mountain). Tea that grows at a height of at least 400 meters. No monoculture, no use of chemical pesticides and from a tea garden with an owner who knows a lot and really cares about his Maofeng tea.
Eventually, we found one of the most beautiful natural tea gardens we have ever seen. In the distance we saw the Huangshan mountain peaks. This tea can be called the real Huangshan Maofeng. We dreamed to find a nice Maofeng tea, a tea grown with passion and care. And after a long search we managed to find it.
The Maofeng is the number three tea in China's tea top 10. For many tea enthusiasts the best green tea of all.
Mao Feng tea pickers always select two leaves of the same size plus the small bud in the center. The best Mao Feng Tea in China undoubtedly comes from Yellow Mountain. The Yellow Mountain Mao Feng has a stable position on the list of China's ten most famous teas, and it is one of the best loose leaf green teas in the world. The taste is sweet and fresh, with a slightly nutty tone, which gives it a full taste.
Every tea leaf is hand-picked and processed in small quantities. During the harvest season, all the tea-pickers go into the mountains and at the end of the day they return to their villages with baskets full of tea.

Mao Feng tastes best when brewed in porcelain or glass tea ware. Use 3-4 grams of this tea per glass and add water below boiling temperature (80 degrees Celsius). To prepare half a liter of this tea, use around 5 grams of tea depending on your personal preference. Don't start with too much tea, otherwise the tea will become bitter. Steep Mao Feng Tea for a few seconds if you like mild tea and for a little more than a minute if you like strong tea. When using the kungfu tea set, add 3 grams of tea and steep for around 20 seconds. It's not necessary to wash this tea, but it doesn't hurt.
